SOCAR Commission established
Under the SOCAR president Rovnag Abdullayev’s order dated April 18, 2012, the Commission has been set up to provide detailed investigation and objective assessment of the actions by the company officers and other participants in the events, based on the video and photo footage broadcasted in the media, as well as other obtained materials about events happened during joint operation of Security Department of SOCAR together with law enforcement authorities to prevent an illegal construction of buildings at the fields envisaged for oil and gas operations.
The order states:

- Detailed information will be gathered about the measures taken by the Security Department on April 18, 2012;

- Information broadcasted in the media will be investigated in detail;

Kulevi Black Sea Terminal effective performance monitoring system
SOCAR’s asset in Georgia, Kulevi Black Sea Terminal LLC has implemented and maintains effective performance monitoring systеm.
As an internal part of this system the Terminal management conducts quarterly and annual key performance indicators review. The system enables management to evaluate progress towards strategic goals expressed in company’s performance contract. The system review covers very important subjects like operational and HSE excellence; maintenance efficiency; financial efficiency; business development; loss management; resource management; customer satisfaction and etc.
Such approach contributes to the efficiency of analyzing progress in different directions and enables to employ necessary actions for further improvement. Data analyzed during the system reviews enables management to identify failed points and assign corrective and preventive actions to prevent future shortcomings.
SOCAR’s budget payment for February 2012
SOCAR paid AZN 91 million 953 thousand to the State Budget for February of the current year that is AZN 15 million 956 thousand (121 %) more than the payments for the same period of 2011.
For January-November 2012, SOCAR transferred AZN 195 million 814 thousand to the State Budget that is AZN 10 million 980 thousand (105,9 %) more than the payments for the same period of 2011.
Besides, the Company’s payment to the State Social Protection Fund amounted AZN 11 million 271 thousand in February that is AZN 688 thousand (106,5 %) more than the payments for the same period of 2011. As a whole, the January-February payments to State Social Protection Fund totaled AZN 23 million 718 thousand that is AZN 3 million 429 thousand (116,9 %) more than the payments for the same term in 2011.
